F1 Betting Tips Challenge: Who Will Come Out on Top?
The excitement and thrill of the Formula 1 season is back and with it comes the F1 Betting Tips Challenge. The challenge sees three tipsters, Stephen, Luke, and Ant, spend 10 points each race on their selected bets with the aim of being profitable by the end of the season. The only rule for their selections is that all bets must have odds of over 1.5.
With the Azerbaijan Grand Prix right around the corner, let’s take a look at Stephen’s selections and why he thinks they are worth betting on.
First up, Stephen has selected Lando Norris to finish in the points with odds of 2.2 and spending 4 points on this bet. Although McLaren hasn’t had the start to the season they were hoping for, Stephen believes this weekend in Baku will be the turning point for the team. With the upgrades that McLaren will be bringing to the Grand Prix, Lando Norris has a great chance of finishing in the top 10 come Sunday’s race.
Stephen’s second bet sees him putting 3 points on the line for both Mercedes cars to finish on the podium with odds of 8.5. Stephen believes that Mercedes put on an impressive show at the last race in Australia and if not for the first red flag, we could have seen both Mercedes joining Max Verstappen on the podium. With the upgrades that Mercedes will be bringing to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Stephen thinks they will be even stronger and both cars have a high chance of finishing in the top 3 come race day.
Lastly, Stephen has selected Max Verstappen to be the last driver to make a pitstop with odds of 8.0 and spending 3 points on this bet. This market is a fun one, with a lot of factors playing a part in the outcome. However, Stephen believes that Max Verstappen could be a safe bet if he manages to get a clear lap one and build a lead. He won’t be in a rush to get into the pits until he is ready himself to do so, making him a strong contender to be the last driver to make a pitstop.
Second up is Luke’s picks for the Azerbaijan GP as he looks to kick off with some solid betting tips to take him to the top of the profit and loss table. Luke opens up with two small bets for the F1 Betting Tips Challenge.
He predicts we will see the Safety car or Virtual Safety car in the race at odds of 1.53 for 0.5 points. He believes there will be reliability issues or a crash that will bring the safety car out potentially even the red flag. His second small bet falls along the same lines with the total Classified drivers being Over 16.5 at 2.1 and again for 0.5 points.
Luke’s next market while looking for good value has brought him to the Number of Race leaders market. With the chance of Safety cars and red flags, this could turn into a very tactical race which has led him to go for 3 or more race leaders at 1.66 for 2 points.
Who will come out on top of the F1 BETTING TIPS CHALLENGE?
Luke is expecting Red Bull to continue to show just how good they are this weekend and his next two bets prove this. Like Stephen, he has gone for two of the same constructors on the podium but he has gone with both Red Bulls on the podium at odds of 1.72 for 2 points. Lastly Luke has decided to put half his points total on his final pick of the Azerbaijan GP. He believes Max Verstappen will dominate Sundays and will run away in the lead and no one will be able to get close to him, meaning his last bet is there to be a Winning Margin of over 10 Seconds at odds of 1.83 for the risk of 5 points.
Last up, Ant has taken an approach of spreading his 10 points over six different bets in order for him to find the most profit for the F1 Betting Tips Challenge for the Azerbaijan GP.
Unlike the rest, Ant has decided to go with a bet for the main race qualifying where he looked at the match-up betting for Mercedes and has picked Lewis Hamilton to win his match-up with his teammate at odds of 2.1 for 2 points. He’s also taken a look at making some more profit before we reach the main event by picking the Sprint race winner. Ant’s second pick is for Sergio Perez to win the Sprint race at 4.5 with two points on the line.
Ant has then got four bets that he will still be riding going into the main event as he looks to spread his chances of winning. Red Flags in F1 are becoming more regular and as we are at another street circuit a red flag in the race with odds of 2.2 for 1 point. Despite believing there will be a red flag this weekend Ant is going with the same bet as Luke for there being over 16.5 classified drivers at 2.0 for 2 points and another bet on the main event on Sunday.
For the last two bets for the main Azerbaijan GP race, Ant believes Haas will manage to have a car in the top 10, and his pick for this weekend is Kevin Magnussen top finish in the top 10 at odds 2.37 with him putting up 2 points on this pick. The very last pick Ant has gone for a pick he sees as some good value. Aston Martin has looked very quick this season, especially at the hands of Alonso. Alonso to take the fastest lap of the race at 7.5 for 1 point is Ant’s last pick of the weekend.
It’s important to note that betting on F1 races, or any sports betting for that matter, can be unpredictable and always carries risks. However, the F1 Betting Tips Challenge offers a fun way to engage with the sport and make some predictions based on expert opinions.
So, as the Azerbaijan Grand Prix approaches, keep an eye on these selections and see how the tipsters fare in the F1 Betting Tips Challenge. Who knows, you may even be inspired to place your own bets and see if you can come out on top!
