Stephen’s selections:
First Driver Retirement – Valtteri Bottas – Odds 26.0 – 2.5 Points
“With no seat looking likely for next year and no improvements to the car seeming to be happening. Bottas must be starting to get a little frustrated this season. Baku is not a track to drive at any less than 100% and at odds of 26.0 I think he is great odds to be the first retirement of the race”
Team Classified Drivers – Aston Martin F1 Team – 1 – Odds 6.6 – 2.5 Points
“This has been a great week for Aston Martin so in F1 terms that can only mean one thing, there is going to be a massive issue in the race! All eyes will be on Lance Stroll this week to prove he has what it takes to drive for a team who are likely to become race winners over the coming seasons but I cannot not see it ending well for him”
Winner Forecast – 1st Lando Norris, 2nd Oscar Piastri – Odds 7.84 – 2.5 Points
“I can only see a total papaya weekend this weekend! McLaren, although they didn’t win, were the fastest car at a power hungry Monza and McLaren have performed well at both over street circuits this season so far. The only things that can stop a McLaren one two this weekend for me is themselves or someone brings a massive upgrade.”
Fastest Lap – Sergio Perez – Odds 17.0 – 2.5 Points
“Red Bull are really on the back foot with McLaren currently and every point matters to them. This will mean a late pit stop to make sure they do get that fastest lap point or that they do take it off McLaren. Perez is the one who will most likely have the more of a chance to pit due to being at the back of the front pack.”
Luke’s selections:
First Driver to Make a Pit Stop – Valtteri Bottas – Odds 15.0 – 2 Points
“My pick out of the hat for this week, I feel like I picked Bottas a lot as he has good value for money and is usually one of the first to pit most races apart from when I put him on my selections”
First Driver Retirement – Max Verstappen – Odds 29.0 – 2 Points
“This is very unlikely to come in but he does have history here both with clashing with teammates and also losing a tyre so there might be a chance of this to come in”
Fastest Team Pit Stop – Alpine – Odds 12.0 – 2 Points
“Can Alpine do it 2 races in a row, surprisingly last race, Alpine had the quickest pitstop and it was quite quick not because the rest of the teams were slower and the odds are quite good so going to gamble on it”
Will there be a Red Flag during Race? – Yes – Odds 3.6 – 2 Points
“With Baku being a street track depending where an incident is will determine if there is a Red Flag or not. We have had a few incident free races and with how technical and risky Baku is, I think we might have someone take it too far and end up crashing out and bringing out the Red Flag”
Top 10 (Points Finish) – Franco Colapinto – Odds 7.0 – 2 Points
“Colapinto had an impressive start in Monza and was able to pull some good overtakes and also finish in 12th which considering he was in a Williams and also his first F1 race, this was quite impressive. I think he has a chance in getting points in Baku.”
Ant’s selections:
1st Practice Winner – Oscar Piastri – Odds 6.4 – 2 Points
“McLaren look like they will prioritise Norris from now on for what small chance there is of a title win. Piastri may have to take small victories such as proving himself in practice.”
Fastest Qualifier – Charles Leclerc – Odds 4.5 – 2 Points
“Azerbaijan will see Ferrari and McLaren battle it out of the top spots. I do believe that McLaren have the better overall race pace, however, Leclerc has great 1 lap pace, especially on street circuits. This could be a moment he reminds people of this again.”
Qualifying Winning Margin – 0.10 to 0.20 seconds – Odds 2.90 – 2 Points
“I like this bet and it’s often a coin toss really. This had the better odds so I’ve gone with it.”
Red Bull Classified Drivers – 1 – Odds 8.40 – 2 Points
“I’m going to ride this bet out until it comes in. Surely with all the chaos surrounding Red Bull you’d think it’s bound to happen sooner or later? “
Top 10 Finish – Oliver Bearman – Odds 4.90 – 2 Points
“This is simply a fun bet for me. It would be great to see him get some points seeing as he’s only there due to Magnusson’s penalty points. I’m rooting for the kid”
