Stephen’s Selections:

First pitstop of the race – Yuki Tsunoda – 17.0 – 1 Point
“After winning on this bet with Zhou last week we are taking a gamble again on who we may see enter the pits first. Yuki tends to get in tangles early laps and he could need to be the first to pit due to it”

Fastest pitstop – McLaren – 3.75 – 2.5 Points
“This one again was close to coming in at Singapore, they missed out by 0.1 but had the fastest joint team pit time. We go again for this bet.”

Team classified drivers – Haas – 0 cars – 23.0 – 1 Point
“As we get to this end of the season parts are going to start to fail. Haas are my pick for a double DNF in Japan.”

Fastest lap and win race – Max Verstappen – 1.72 – 5.5 Points
“I think red bull and max will be back this weekend and will really want to show last week was a one off. The fastest lap might be a little hard to get as other cars are getting closer to them but this is the best bet on Max in terms of value.”

Luke’s Selections:

Practice 1 Winning Margin – Between 0.1 and 0.25 seconds inclusive – 2.62 – 2 Points
“Nothing I do is working currently so need to try something new, even though Practice 1 is not that competitive, I believe that the gap at the top won’t be too big”

Q2 Winning Margin – Under 0.1 seconds – 2.75 – 3 Points
“Going back to this bet to join Ant on this one but I think gap at the top will be close this weekend in Q2”

Total Classified Drivers – Over 19.5 – 6.00 – 2 Points
“With there being no rain forecasted so far, I don’t think we’ll see any retirements in the race (wishful thinking) and all 20 will finish the race”

Podium Finish – Carlos Sainz – 3.75 – 3 Points
“Can the smooth operator make it 3 in a row, I’m really hoping Sainz continues on his good performance he has been on lately and convert another podium with s mega drive”

Ant’s Selections:

Fastest in Practice 1 – Charles Leclerc – 7.00 – 2 Points
“Practice 1 is notoriously the most unpredictable. It was a toss up between Leclerc or Norris for this bet. So naturally I am now expecting Norris to finish top of the standings.”

Points Finish – Alex Albon – 2.62 – 2 Points
“He has been driving so well this season and I feel this is the “safer” bet for me. I actually predict he will qualify well this weekend too.”

Fastest Qualifier – Sergio Perez – 12.00 – 2 Points
“It has to happen at some point, right? Hopefully Max’s meltdown in Singapore continues, and gives Perez the energy to finally get his act together in qualifying. And yes I am still making this bet in the hope that Perez sticks it to Helmut.”

Red Flag in Race – Yes – 4.33 – 2 Points
“At the time of writing there is no rain scheduled for the race, however, at the time of writing it is currently pouring with rain in Suzuka having been previously forecast no rain. My point is the weather in this area is always unpredictable, so I am going tall in on rain, a crash, a red flag – and Luke throwing a chair at me when this bet comes in”

Winning margin – Between 6 and 12 seconds inclusive – 3.75 – 2 Points
“This is a bet purely on value . I expect the price to fall closer to race day”
